Information Commons 2 reception: March 30 (IUB)

Building on the overwhelming popularity of the Information Commons, UITS and the IUB Libraries formally mark the opening of the Information Commons 2 (IC2) with a public reception:
When: March 30, 3:30-5pm Where: Information Commons 2
Located on the second floor of the Main Library’s west tower, IC2 overlooks IU’s beautiful campus arboretum. Occupying 9,600 square-feet, it features 68 computer workstations, seating and electrical power for more than 100 laptop users, a core book collection, and reference assistance and technology consultation during all open hours.

    Research Technologies Life Sciences (RTLS) supports domain-focused research. Its primary mission is to empower researchers with cutting edge, enabling information technologies in both basic and biomedical life sciences within IU and in the state of Indiana and beyond.
    RTLS consists of three subunits: the Advanced Information Technology Core, which acts as a gateway for IU School of Medicine researchers to Research Technologies systems and services; Biomedical Applications, which provides custom applications and services to support life sciences projects; and the Center for Computational Cytomics, which supports basic biology researchers.
